Dear Friend,
Thank you all for coming out to our Anniversary show last month, the show was a huge success with both Danni Shinya Luo and Lee Anne Hale nearly selling out their work and numerous purchases throughout the gallery. We have a different kind of show this Saturday, May 2nd,2009. Curator Cartwright has given Los Angeles-based Installation artist, Shrine most of the middle room in the Hive to install new works and pieces of his temple that was built for Coachella. Shrine is best known for building the Temple at Burning Man in 2007/08 and will be exhibiting a new mixed media creation at the LACMA in late 2009.
Douse yourselves with audio-visual honey while you are the first ones to see our May 2009 exhibit and 10 performances throughout the night with over 70 top group show artists and 5 other featured artists including Featured Artist 1:Shay Davis, Featured Artist 2: Alex Feliciano, Tall Wall Artist: Aglaia Mortcheva, Small Wall Artist: Michael Lewis, and Installation artist:Zombienose. These Hive discovered artists are some of the premiere artists in Southern California that curator Cartwright has picked to for The Hive Gallery's esteemed feature artist spots and they will be sure to have strikingly beautiful, thought-provoking and affordable pieces for your collection.

(To grab an image from the Hive site- double click it in the slide show, it will pop up in another window and you can save it from there. Its important to send a jpeg because artwork is continually being added to the site and number references may change this week).
-If you need to pick up purchased work from a prior show please email nathan@thehivegallery.com that you will be attending Saturday night and we will have your art packaged and ready to go home with you.
