FRANçOIS BARD INSTALLATION

OCTOBER 3 - NOVEMBER 1, 2012

INTRODUCING FRANçOIS BARD

Axelle Fine Arts is excited to present François Bard's work in Boston for the first time. As the artist puts it, "In my canvases, we are always headed for something which is unnamed, unidentified but with which we collide head-on. Nowadays we live in a time when images have become banal. The role of the contemporary artist should be to incite people to see differently."

Bard's forceful portraits or close-up details invites the viewer to scrutinize the story behind the façade. Bard's work has been featured in major international art fairs and hangs in prestigious private collections around the world, including those of Ralph Lauren, Kit Kemp, Jackye and Kurtis Finch, Jr. and the Arkansas Arts Center - Museum of Art. Axelle Fine Arts Galerie Boston is proud to represent his work in the US.

Whats next for AXELLE? Look for new work by American artist, Elizabeth Allison. This will be the Allison’s first exhibition at Axelle Fine Arts Galerie Boston. Allison is most well known for her sculptural work, River Gazers. This piece has previously been shown along the Hudson River, in conjunction with works by her peers from the Art Student League New York. The prolific artist demonstrates her talent with watercolor in her large scale works on paper in this upcoming exhibition.
