Many of his elemental works evolved over a period of years. They evoke the forces of nature and the passage of time, incorporating fossil-like forms, miniature mountainscapes, and unusually juxtaposed natural objects. Wend uses found, recycled or salvaged materials in many of these artworks that reflect his lifelong passion for the environment and the natural sciences. Her paintings are a spiritual and representational homage of women from the inspirational to the personal dreams and simple joys of womanhood. Her images in Black and White of Black Dancers were inspired by Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. There is one Black and White image of a Marilyn Monroe turned Black... relatively called 'Waiting for her Prince'. D.
