Once Upon a Time by the Italian artist Antonio Nocera
La Galleria Pall Mall, London, UK United Kingdom

The World of fairy tales in the artworks of the Italian artist Antonio Nocera is the theme of the Christmas Show at La Galleria Pall Mall, works based on the fables of Pulcinella, Pinocchio, Red Riding Hood, Puss in Boots, Cinderella and more... Antonio Nocera - has brought to life the fairytales we all remember from our own childhood in this exhibition. The puppet Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, all contain something which is much deeper, the mystery of metamorphosis, of weakness that transforms into strength, of oppression that is won over by the oppressed, of poverty that is transformed into abundance, the frog into Prince Charming. - Read Indepth Article at http://www.absolutearts.com

Bending: A Solo Show of Work by April Bending
Broadway Gallery, New York, NY USA United States of America

From December 16 to 30, with an opening reception on December 19th, 6 to 8 p.m the Broadway Gallery in New York, presents 'Bending: A Solo Show of Work by April Bending'. In the exhibition Bending, the Cayman Islands based artist April Bending presents a selection of her enigmatic sculptural paintings that respond to issues surrounding the human and the human desire for immortality. Broadly composed yet intricately detailed, each painting renders a realistic depiction of the human condition that conveys an atmosphere of confinement and isolation. Presented in a sequence of portraits, scenes, and fossils, Bending forms a narrative that tells a story of everyday existence, mortality, and desire. The juxtaposition of the fragile fish, with the sculpture-like remains, alongside human portraits that stare back at the viewer, emphasizes sentiments of mortality and immortality within her work. April Bending promotes her art with a Free Portfolio at absolutearts.com. - Read Indepth Article at http://www.absolutearts.com

Out-of-season thoughts
Alberto Sughi, Italy

It appears - but perhaps it really is happening - that the fog is thickening. I know where I am, but I can't see which way to go from here.
Of course, there's painting ... but couldn't it just be force of habit that makes me think that it still has something new to offer me?
Could I do without it if it weren't my only means of supporting myself?
If this were true, the fog would get even thicker.
If I want to continue moving on, I have to move slowly, not hoping to return to brighter times.
Things go their own way, and we should be aware that we can't change the way they are going.
You hope that something unexpected will happen, that not everything is lost; but how, when and where, you just don't know.
The day will come when you won't have the patience to "hold on" any more
