Firstly the introduce the exhibition of the ongoing project �Smash The Ghetto� by Democracia. Democracia (previously El Perro), have participated in numerous museum shows, including the recent show curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist with artists including Cy Twombly, Gilbert & George and Doug Gordon et al (Casa Museo Federico Garcia Lorca, Granada), as well as the Taipei Biennale. In 2007, the Madrid City Council decided that El Salobral, one of Europe�s largest shanty towns located on the southern outskirts of Madrid should be demolished and its inhabitants rehoused. �Smash The Ghetto� is a video and photography installation documenting the demolition of these slum districts. The body of work is an ongoing project and the gallery is pleased to show the most recent work. Parallel to this solo show the gallery is presenting individual projects by the artists Maslen & Mehra, Daniel Canogar and Li Wei. - Read Indepth Article at http://www.absolutearts.com | | Jin Jian Solo Exhibition Art Scene Warehouse, Shanghai, CN China At Art Scene Warehouse, one can appreciate the interesting and experimental work of Jin Jian. The young artist was chosen out of more than 1000 applicants to participate with only 25 others in the internationally renowned �Chinese Art Prize�. He was also chosen to feature at Art Cologne (2008). As a sculptor, Puigmarti offers to visitors his vision, in this case more dadaist that surrealistic, of characters created from very diverse objects that the artist has set out of context and equipped with new reading, assembled in an accidental manner based on his boundless and unlimited creativity and on the freedom to express it.
