Warhol self-portraits shine in Christie's impressive $301 million Contemporary art sale After some rather lackluster results in the New York spring auctions so far, Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale on Wednesday produced a staggering $301.6 million tally, beating the $299 million pre-sale high estimate.
