Dear Friends of The Hive gallery,
Saturday, February 5th, 2010 , The Hive is celebrating Cupid's favorite month with a themed show and a group show:
1) "Lovers and Haters"- themed show
Artists from around the country have made custom paintings and sculptures influenced by the theme "Lovers and Haters". These loose interpretations of the phrase, were made from the heart and the pieces show it! In addition, our performance room gallery will have a (non-themed) group show of emerging artists, and, of course, an awe-inspiring featured artists lineup in the front gallery including:

As usual we will have a full night of performances, with a full list of performances listed below. Plus, our Resident artists will be present throughout the evening, live painting and getting to know those who come to partake of the audio/visual honey.

Come and check out the Bagavagabond TIME Art Explosion on February 12th at 1947 S. Sante Fe Ave in downtown LA,
featuring tons of original art for sale ($100 or less!!!!), film, music, art installations, a ping pong lounge, live screen printing and poster printing, etc. .
3) "HIVE TAROT 2" Available now pre-sale $15/ $15 at opening/$20 Retail
This is a limited edition Hive publication, there are only 100 decks and we sold them out last year. If you'd like to pre-sale purchase a deck, contact nathan@thehivegallery.com now ($15/paypal purchase). Decks will be on sale at The Hive for $15 at the opening for a limited time, they will be retailing for $20 after February 5th.

(note: some work may be up before then but all featured artist work and group show work willbe up for viewing after 3 PM Thursday )

-If you see a piece that you like- please send a jpeg of the image to nathan@thehivegallery.com

(To grab an image from the Hive site- double click it in the slide show, it will pop up in another window and you can save it from there. Its important to send a jpeg because artwork is continually being added to the site and number references may change this week).
-If you need to pick up purchased work from a prior show please email nathan@thehivegallery.com that you will be attending Saturday night and we will have your art packaged and ready to go home with you.
