HIve Gallery "Bee Here Now" and Visionary Art Block Party!!! This Sat. Jan.9th

The Hive Gallery and Temple of Visions present:


Our biggest show yet- "Bee Here Now" New Year group show and Visionary block party (the Grand Opening of Temple of Visions gallery, 2 doors up from The Hive).

1. "Bee Here Now II"  2010 is here and The Hive Gallery has put together a huge show of artists that intend to inspire and enlighten our audiences for the new decade. Curator Cartwright has assembled a Hive army to create small custom pieces, 11"x14" and under, titled "Bee Here Now" loosely based off of Ram Das' classic book on mediation and the power of the moment (1978). In addition, there is a regular group show of artists from around the country including artists such as Chet Zar, NC Winters, James Zar, Shay Davis and more.

2. "Visionary Block Party"- $15 admission both galleries or $8 for one

The Hive Group show and performances and Temple of Visions- 2 full sized 3000 sq. ft galleries, 2 full lineups of performances


Come see The Hive Opening & Performances show and the Grand Opening of Temple of Visions Gallery at 719 S. Spring St.- 2 blocks up from The Hive, for a total of $15 or just purchase admission to one gallery for the price of $8. Admission for both shows is being accepted at the door of The Hive Gallery. Shady Backflash and The Blotterati present "Microdots: Pixels and Perforations," an exhibit featuring vintage blotter art and new designs by artists in the visionary and psychedelic world.
In addition to classic editions from the notorious collection of Mark McCloud's Institute of Illicit Images, the show will feature new and rarely seen editions by Alex Grey, H.R. Giger,
Stanley Mouse, Herb Greene, Zane Kesey, Phidelity, Carey Thompson, Mike DuBois, Tina Carpenter, James Clements, Shady Backflash, Jen Rog and others.
